So the actual port was at Naples, but we chose to spend the day on Capri. It's commonly called the "Island of Romance." It was breathtaking!! The views of the ocean and the cliffs were phenomenal. We took a chair lift up to the highest point on the island and literally gasped when we saw the scenery from the lookout. These pictures do not do justice. Sometimes it's hard to believe that so many exotic locations exist, many of which we'll never get to set foot on. God is amazingly creative! By the way, no one is allowed to rent a car due to the (scary!) design of the roads. We went with a group by bus up the crazy winding roads to the top of the cliffs - I'm not exaggerating...we were just a couple of inches from the bus coming the other way!
This is probably the most thrilling place that I will spend a birthday at...the big 29 rolled around on this day. We dressed up and had a nice dinner seated next to a window where we could watch the sun go down. Very romantic!
